How To Make Money Running a Travel Blog? This has been something that I’ve had on my mind for probably as long as I have had this website for. In fact, ever since I’ve been blogging the financial incentive has always been something I’ve found appealing.

In regards to travelling more so the Idea that whilst I’m away I can spend a bit of time working where I can try to recoup the costs and possibly do it a bit more than break even I’ve always liked.

I have covered a lot of ground above but speaking from experience the best ways to gain customers for your affiliate products are money pages, product reviews and email marketing.

Be sure to Include product reviews in your main menu, add a resources page with affiliate links for apps and websites that you use whilst travelling and with email marketing set up a lead capture pop up and forms, entice readers to sign up with a free gift (lead magnet) and once you have readers subscribed carefully craft an email autoresponder series that Includes affiliate links and just work on getting people to come to your website. SEO, AI Search and Social Media are all great ways to help kick this off.

Also send new blog posts to your email list. Either automatically or manually.

Final Word

The last thing I would say is make it enjoyable sharing your stories. Share your jokes, your pain, your amazement. Take photos to add to your blog – the best thing is this is one of the easiest niches to share your own photos.

On my other websites I often need to rely on Google image search and ai to find my visuals but with my travel blog I take all my own photos for the most part.

Here is the kicker. Running a website has its own set of costs. There is hosting, domain for each website. You have tools such as canva and email marketing services. Plus many other optional upgrades such as keyword research tools, ai, and premium themes.

Neither or a bad Idea but what I would.recommend is going the WordPress route and training with Wealthy Affiliate. I’ve been a member for over 5 years now. It has it’s haters but I think it is great for what it offers.
